Black Forest Labs Ships FLUX 3, a Multimodal Model Trained Jointly on Video, Images, and Audio — Black Forest Labs has put FLUX 3 into Early Access, a foundation model it says learns from images, video, and audio in one architecture. My takeaway: Since FLUX3 is only in early access, I wasn't able to find any benchmark data from Arena or Artificial Analysis. However, based on Twitter feeds and YouTube videos comparing FLUX 3 with other top frontier models like Seedance, I could see the the quality was competitive. Personally, the 20-second video generation with native audio is the most notable part of the release.

My takeaway: With the help of advanced LLMs such as ChatGPT, I can see job boundaries are no longer fixed. OpenAI's data shows people prompting about work outside their own occupation, which is not the same thing as those people owning that work. A marketer who troubleshoots a site in ChatGPT may still not be the one accountable for the fix. In my view, this points toward employers placing more value on people who can operate across several roles.
